Prior to joining the District, Christine West was executive director for Rebuilding Together-Monterey/Salinas (RTMS), a non-profit dedicated to rehabilitating homes for low-income homeowners for three years. She volunteered for RTMS for nearly 15 years and served as assistant to the board, director of development, as well as board president during that time. She also owns and operates Go West Communications, a full-service virtual advertising agency that opened in 1999.

Christine has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Utah State University and a master’s degree in mass communications from the University of Denver. She has also served her community as a Girl Scout leader, board member for the Rod Kelley Elementary School Parent Club and a committee member for the Measure P Campaign, which successfully passed a school bond.

Christine is responsible for serving the District’s board of directors, managing the maintenance, repair and remodeling of the Hall and marketing the Hall to local veterans and the general public.

When she’s not working, this Gilroy resident enjoys spending time with her husband cheering on the San Francisco Giants, 49ers and their two children, who participate in a variety of sports and other activities.
